Yamazaki (Suntory)

The first whisky distillery in Japan, opened in 1923 near Kyoto, with waters renowned for tea. The style is delicate and floral, with a share of Japanese mizunara oak casks that brings notes of incense found nowhere else. The old vintages have become scarce and expensive.
